If You're Looking For UFOs, This Map Might Drive You Crazy
It's a fascinating article, and the statistics are fun, but it did indeed drive me crazy.![]() |
Want to see this in the sky tonight? This fun map will tell you where to go! |
0.0? WTF? What the hell have I been investigating the past 4 years??
Of course I'm going by my own MUFON stats and the people behind this interactive map were using sighting stats from NUFORC... But what does it mean that NUFORC has zero recorded UFO sightings in my county while MUFON has many sightings? Whose methodology is off?

Unlike MUFON, NUFORC has no local chapters (just one national office) so witnesses in your area might be unaware of it's existence. You can't report to an organization that you don't know about.
Odd choice of source material for such an analysis then...
